Scotland has produced so many famous gins – Daffy, Hendricks, The Botanist… The list is endless. On that list is of cause Caorunn Gin (pronounced “ka-roon”). It is made by Balmenach distillery in Speyside in the Scottish Highlands. This Celtic, triple distilled and very crisp and smooth gin, has 6 traditionally botanicals – juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica root and cassia bark – and 5 local botanicals - rowan berries, heather, bog myrtle, dandelion leaf and coul blush apples. Paired with the right tonic and a couple of fresh red apple slices and you have a wonderful and aromatic Gin Tonic. Caorunn has won many awards, among them a gold award win for “Scottish Gin Destination Of The Year” at the very first Scottish Gin Awards.
