Ginscape is a danish Gin, produced on the well known distillery Langley, in Birmingham, England. The team behind, Hans Kamp, Hans Christian Kjærgaard - Hansen and Ole Schrøter took precisely 501 days to create Ginscape from idea to the finished product, and in their search for the right botanicals for a new fantastic Danish Gin, the choice fell on - among others - sea buckthorn, from the danish island of Bornholm.
Some might call the use of sea buckthorn, somewhat dictated by fashion – at least when thinking about fine dining. But in no way, this is the case with Ginscape. The taste of sea buckthorn gives you both a light bitterness as well as a sweetness, used together with the classic botanicals such as juniper, corriander seeds, angelica, lemon, orange zest and liquirish root. This gives a perfect smooth and somewhat creamy Gin, which gives a really nice feel in both nose and mouth.
It really give us a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, when danish producers bring out products, which are easily as good as the best in the industry.
And we are not the only ones recognizing Ginscape as a really fine Gin. Less than 3 months after the launch, in may, 2017, Ginscape received 2 well deserved silvermedals at IWSC, one in the category ”Best London Dry Gin” and one in the category ”Packaging”, for their amazing design on the bottle.
