World Cocktail Day is - as the name indicates - a world wide celebration of the cocktail. The date marks the actual day - May 13, 1806 - where the american magazine ”The Balance and Columbian Repository”, for the first time described a definitionen of a cocktail: ” A cocktail is a stimulating drink, composed by any form of liquor, sugar, water and bitter”.
