Schackenborg Dry Gin

Schackenborg Dry Gin is produced by ”De 5 Gaarde” (The 5 Farms) which is 5 of the most beautiful and prosperous farms in Denmark - Constantinsborg, Frijsenborg, Gyllingnæs, Schackenborg and Wedellsborg. These old and historic manors have formed a conceptual and a production alliance to produce and promote quality products to a fair price. They started off by producing grain, chicken meat and milk under the name “De 5 Gaarde” but the huge success has let to new product lines among them the development of beer and a line of spirits – vodka, aquavit, bitter and not least gin.

The gin is developed in close cooperation with His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark, who is an active part of “De 5 Gaarde”. The making of the gin is done by Braunstein Micro Distillery in Koge in Denmark. The base in the Schackenborg Dry Gin is the very best wheat and malt from “De 5 Gaarde” and spring water from the Jutland region in Denmark.

12 carefully selected herbs, roots and berries have been used in the distillation. The taste is soft with tones of juniper berries, angelica, orange, bergamot and cardamom. It is a very versatile gin that will make every gin lover happy – if you want a classic Gin & Tonic with an indian tonic - a sweeter version with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and an orange slice – or use it for gin based cocktails...or you can enjoy this Danish high quality gin just as it is !
